Here are just a few outstanding jobs in tech you can access now without a degree. The salaries listed here are estimates and can go up and down depending on your experience and where you live.

1: Computer programmers

You will be responsible for writing and testing the code that makes computer applications and programs work. Once they get the programs working, their job is not done. Programmers are constantly testing code to make sure it’s running optimally. Get on board with a company or go out on your own as a freelancer.


2: systems analyst 

This job is a lot like it sounds. A person in this role analyzes an organization’s information system and designs it to make it as efficient and profitable as possible. Entry-level jobs don’t always require a degree, so this is a role you can get into from the ground floor and work your way up.


3: Cybersecurity Analyst


Cybersecurity is important to companies, and they are willing to pay for it. In this position, you’ll assess the risks to your company’s digital security and develop the best responses to potential threats. You’ll work with your team to put security processes in place. And if there is a security breach, you’ll take action to make sure minimal damage is caused and get things back on track.

use computer software to create visual assets. They can be responsible for developing artwork for websites, corporate logos, and product packaging. In this role, experience and a creative portfolio of work can take you much farther than a lot of education.


5: Software/Application Developer


Software and application developers create computer programs and apps that help companies solve problems, including efficiency and cost saving. A position like this also has the flexibility to work on staff at a company or in a freelance capacity.


7: User support specialists

You can have flexibility in how they work, as they can often support their customers or external clients over the phone. In addition to having the technical knowledge it takes to provide support, this job is all about customer service. So if you don’t have a lot of patience, this may not be the job for you.


8: Network Support Specialist

You will troubleshoot issues with a company’s overall network. They are often involved with software updates and new product roll-outs. They can also help train users on company-specific programs and work with a team to help keep the company’s network secure.

Marlene Stollings to receive $740K as part of settlement in lawsuit against Texas Tech

Texas Tech agreed to pay former women's basketball coach Marlene Stollings a little more than $740,000 as part of a settlement of a lawsuit in which she accused the school and its athletics director, Kirby Hocutt, of discrimination and retaliation, according to a copy of the settlement agreement USA TODAY Sports obtained from the university through a public records request. The school fired Stollings for cause in August 2020, the day after the publication of an investigation by USA TODAY Sports and The Intercollegiate, a college sports investigative media outlet. Players alleged there was a culture of abuse under Stollings and described a toxic culture that generated "fear, anxiety, and depression." In her lawsuit, Stollings argued that two internal reviews conducted by the school before the investigation was published cleared her of the allegations. If Economists Fear Inflation, It’s a Sign You Should Not

It was a running  joke  in the late  1990 s at Goldman Sachs that its well-to-do clients would call the investment bank to learn the predictions of the firm’s economists, only to commit capital to outcomes opposite the predictions. Apparently, the contrarian trades were lucrative. This brings us to former Bank of Canada and Bank of England's central   banker , Mark Carney. Carney is a former Goldman employee, which probably shouldn’t surprise us. Central bankers have long mirrored Goldman’s economists when it comes to incorrect predictions. Give Carney credit that he knows well where he’ll fit in.
